Site Guru Has Arrived

I just logged in and found some comments left over the summer that were all mixed up with the fun spam comments blogs attract. One poor soul has typed their fingers raw coming here only to find there’s no new posts…. I hope they’ve healed by now.
Let’s see what’s new… I think there are puppies running around the ranch although I haven’t had a chance to go see them yet. Perhaps Deb will send me pics and I’ll get them posted.
[that’s a hint for someone to call her and tell her to do that]
TR has been a very good boy at his new doggy-librarian job. He’s teaching kids to sit and stay. Something humans refer to as ‘reading’.
We’re going to give Deb another year to figure out how to work this site. If she doesn’t start talking about her dogs soon, I’ll just have to use this space to tell you all about my cats!
mmmm.. Tuffy says they taste like chicken….

“We all have to work-no excuses”
Wednesday, April 18th, 2007Ok, so this was said to me last night about my lack of a recent blog entry. Yes, I started the new job on Monday and I train everyday for the next 3 weeks. My new job as Asst Librarian is going to be a lot of fun, if the last 2 days are any indication! Such a nice, friendly, little library… “where the people know your name”. There are 3 of us training right now and as new employees, we seem to have a lot in common. We are being encouraged to develope a library program that we may be able to get more participation by the community. I have a couple of ideas in mind and I see a need to start searching for some sci-fi books…. maybe for a sci-fi book club??? As I develope this, I may be asking for help in finding some used/new copies of specific books. :o)
The only down side to this “new job thingy” is that the dogs are not as happy about me leaving every day, specifically TR. He is having a real hard time with me driving off and he is not in the passenger seat. I think a few more cookies to get me out the gate is in order to help allieviate some of this guilt!

Oldest Cow
Saturday, April 14th, 2007I wonder how old was the oldest cow. Hmmm…maybe I should check with the Guiness book on that.
Our oldest bovine resident passed on to the rainbow bridge last night. Buffy made it to the grand old age of 20+ years. She had a rough beginning but being fed on a bottle she became our pet and kept the herd in order long after she was through with having calves.

New Look
Friday, April 13th, 2007Thanks to my blog site guru, there are now some pictures. Granted these are “older” pictures, hehehe, but I will get her some newer ones to update, and at the very least- Tuffy’s pic!
The last pup from our most recent litter will be on his way to his new home in Canada in the morning. There will be a “New Sherriff” across the border very soon.

Pups are Growing

Dasher, Dancer, Prancer, Vixen…
Monday, December 25th, 2006Eight little reindeers, er, puppies came on Christmas Eve day. Naming them after Santa’s team is a good idea except… I read in the paper today that male reindeers shed their antlers every winter and only the females have them on Christmas. So that works for the little girls but the boys, well, maybe we just won’t tell them.
